This manual

The point list manual describes the outlook and properties of the data points specific to the IED.
The manual should be used in conjunction with the corresponding communication protocol
manual.
1.2

Intended audience

This manual addresses the communication system engineer or system integrator responsible for
pre-engineering and engineering for communication setup in a substation from an IED
perspective.
The system engineer or system integrator must have a basic knowledge of communication in
protection and control systems and thorough knowledge of the specific communication protocol.
