Mounting
Intended use
The input/output module has two inputs/outputs and is
operated on the FDnet/C-NET. The inputs/outputs can be
connected as follows:
– Collective detector lines and conventional detector lines
– Control line
– Contact input
Housing FDCH221 is available to protect the module from
environmental influences like moisture and humidity.
Mounting the input/output module
The input/output module can be mounted as follows:
– In a fire control panel using the mounting feet supplied
on a U-rail TS35 (Fig. 1)
– In a housing FDCH221 available as an accessory
(Fig. 2...4)

panel on a DIN rail
NOTICE
High temperatures in the module's
environment
Module overheating and damage
·
A minimum clearance of 1 cm must be
observed between two modules or between
the module and any other boundary.
1. Insert two mounting feet into the input/output module.
2. Push the input/output module with the mounting feet
against the DIN rail until the mounting feet engage
(Fig. 1).

NOTICE
Module use in a damp, wet or dusty
environment
Damage to module from dust or jet of water
·
In damp, wet or dusty environments, fit the
module in a housing FDCH221.
1. Open housing (Fig. 4).
2. Determine cable entries in housing and break them
open.
3. Use two screws to fit the housing on a plane surface
(Fig. 2).
4. Secure the M20 x 1.5 cable glands on the housing and
guide in the cables (Fig. 3).
5. Use two M3 x 12 screws to mount the module in the

Electrical connection
1. Connect the cables to the terminals according to the pin
assignment (Fig. 10). Only connect one wire per
terminal.
2. Fuse the DC 24 V external supply with a fuse (3) of
max. 2 AT.
The currents for both control lines are supplied by
means of the DC 24 V external supply.
3. For currents up to max. 0.7 A, use the internal fuses (1)
or fuse the control line subject to the number of outputs
used with an external fuse (2) of max. 1 AT or 1.5 AT:
1x 1.5 AT or 2x 1 AT (T
The internal fuses (1) are activated when delivered. Max.
permissible current: 0.7 A.
The jumpers are not connected.
4. Connect the monitoring resistors or end-of-lines (EOL).
These must be connected at the end of the line
(Fig. 5 ...9)!
5. Fix the cables to the input/output module using cable
