8. Recharge the PTC-1800's battery pack.
9. Pack the PTC-1800 in the original packing
material or in a padded box and put it in a safe
place, away from dust, dirt, humidity, and
excessive cold or heat.
10. Recharge the PTC-1800's battery pack every 6
months.
Cleaning the PTC-1800
Equipment required
The following equipment is required to clean the
PTC-1800:

A soft, lint-free cloth
•
A nonabrasive liquid cleaner such as Windex
•
Isopropyl alcohol or a battery contact cleaner.
Cleaning the PTC-1800
To clean the PTC-1800, slightly moisten a soft, clean,
lint-free cloth with a mild, nonabrasive liquid cleaner
and wipe the outside surfaces. Do not use a paper
towel.
Cleaning the contacts
To clean the battery pack contacts and the contacts on
the PTC-1800, use a cloth moistened with isopropyl
alcohol or a battery contact cleaner.
Servicing the PTC-1800
Do not attempt to service the PTC-1800. Only a
trained Symbol technician may service the PTC-1800.
Follow the procedure set up by your organization to
have the PTC-1800 serviced properly.
