BRAKE FLUID LEVEL

Place the snowmobile on a level surface. Check
that the brake fluid is above the lower level and
replenish when necessary.
a Lower level
Recommended brake fluid:
DOT4
WARNING
Be careful that water does not enter the master
cylinder when refilling. Water will significantly
lower the boiling point of the fluid and may
result in vapor lock.
If the brake fluid level goes down, consult a
Yamaha dealer.
CAUTION:
Brake fluid may deteriorate painted surfaces or
plastic parts. Never spill any fluid. If any is
spilled, clean it up immediately.

BRAKE FLUID REPLACEMENT

Brake fluid replacement is necessary when the fol-
lowing components are replaced during the peri-
odic maintenance or if they are damaged or
leaking.
a. All rubber seals of the master cylinder and cali-
per cylinder.
b. The brake system hose.
WARNING
Be sure the brake fluid and the above parts are
replaced by a Yamaha dealer.
