Lithium Battery Safety

This product contains a lithium-ion battery.
WARNING: Use caution when using lithium-ion
batteries. They may catch fire or explode if mishandled.
Risk of personal injury, fire hazard, or death.
Read the following safety guidelines before charging or
using your new radio.
Do not burn or bury batteries. Do not puncture or crush.
Do not disassemble. Do not attempt to modify.
Do not use a damaged, modified, or wet battery. Doing so
could create a fire and explosion hazard.
The battery is not user-replaceable. Do not attempt to
replace the battery. Contact RadioShack to inquire about
any available service options.
Recycle lithium batteries. Do not dispose of in the trash.

Do not expose this product to extreme temperatures
or pressure. Do not store in a hot vehicle. Do not heat
or place near a fire. Avoid airtight enclosures to prevent
over-pressurization. Do not charge battery below 32°F
(0°C) or above 113°F (45°C).
If the electrolyte in the cells should get on your skin,
thoroughly wash with soap and water. If in the eyes, rinse
thoroughly with cool water. Immediately seek medical
attention.
Follow the instructions for charging. Fully charge
battery before first use. Do not charge longer than
recommended. Do not charge on or around flammable
surfaces. Unplug the USB cable when the battery is
charged. Do not leave unattended while charging.
When charging the built-in lithium-ion battery using
the USB charging port, use only a compatible, UL-listed
power adapter.
The battery may discharge completely after a long period
without use. Recharge.
Discontinue use immediately if the battery emits an
unusual odor, feels hot, or changes color or shape.
