Engine Controls
Oil Alert System
The oil alert system is designed to prevent engine
damage caused by an insufficient amount of oil in
the crankcase. Before the oil level in the crankcase
can fall below a safe limit, the oil alert system will
automatically shut off the engine (the engine switch
will remain in the O
position). If the engine stops

and will not restart, check the engine-oil level before
troubleshooting in other areas.
Choke Lever
The choke lever

Fuel-Shutoff Valve
The fuel-shutoff valve

is located underneath the choke lever. Move the
shutoff valve to the On position before attempting to
start the engine. Once you have finished using the
machine and you have turned the engine off, move
the fuel-shutoff valve to the Off position.
On/Off Switch
The On/Off switch
