GENERAL:
These instructions do not cover all variations in systems
nor provide for every possible contingency to be met in
connection with installation.
INSPECTION:
Check carefully for any shipping damage. This must be
reported to and claims made against the transportation
company immediately. Any missing parts should be re-
ported to your supplier at once and replaced with autho-
rized parts only.

DISCONNECT POWER SUPPLY BEFORE BEGINNING
INSTALLATION TO PREVENT PERSONAL INJURY OR
DEATH FROM ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND EQUIP-
MENT DAMAGE.
IMPORTANT: These Sensors are only compatible with
the ZSCNTRAL012 System Controller. They sense indoor
conditions and monitor mode settings and transmits this
information to the System Controller. All system electri-
cal control functions are performed by the System Control-
ler.
When Installing This Product...
1. Read these instructions carefully. Failure to follow
instructions could damage the Sensor or cause a hazard-
ous condition to the installer.
2. Installer must be a trained, experienced service techni-
cian.
3. Allow Sensor to warm to room temperature before
operating. Electronic Sensors require approximately
90 minutes to stabilize for best results.
4. After installation is complete, check out Sensor opera-
tion as provided in these instructions.

COMMUNICATING COMFORT SENSOR
SENSOR LOCATION:
To ensure proper operation, the Sensor should be mounted
on an inside wall in a frequently occupied area of the
building. In addition, its position must be at least 18
inches from any outside wall, and approximately five feet
above the floor in a location with freely circulating air of
an average temperature. Be sure to avoid the locations
described below when determining a site for the Sensor.

CAUTION:
MAINTAINED TO EFFICIENTLY CONTROL UNITS OR
GROUPS OF UNITS. UNLESS ZONES OF CONTROL ARE
CONSIDERED AND ACCOUNTED FOR, ADJACENT
UNITS MAY OPERATE IN HEATING AND COOLING
MODES SIMULTANEOUSLY.
NOTE: When the optional remote sensor is used, these
restrictions apply to the remote sensor location.
The Sensor may then be located anywhere except
in direct sunlight, harsh atmospheres or near
sources of electrical interference.
DO NOT LOCATE THE SENSOR:
1. Behind doors or in corners where freely circulating air
is unavailable.
2. Where direct sunlight or radiant heat from appliances
might affect control operation.
3. On an outside wall.
4. Adjacent to, or in line with, conditioned air discharge
grilles, stairwells, or outside doors.
5. Where its operation may be affected by steam or water
pipes or warm air stacks in an adjacent partition space,
or by an unheated/cooled area behind the Scheduler.
6. Where its operation will be affected by the supply air of
an adjacent unit or zone.
7. Near sources of electrical interference such as arcing
relay contacts.
