Proofing
Items Microfibre fabric, ski wear, outerwear, fine close weave cotton
garments (poplin), or tablecloths which are suitable for drying in a
tumble dryer and have been treated to provide a water and dirt-
resistant finish.
Notes – This programme includes a proofing fixing phase.
– Only use proofing agents which are stated by the manufacturer as
being "suitable for use on membrane textiles". These agents
contain fluorochemical compounds.
– Do not dry items which have been treated with proofing agents
containing paraffin. This substance is a fire hazard.
– This programme only dries to the Normal level.
Reactivation
Items Outerwear which is suitable for drying in a tumble dryer.
Notes – The drying process revitalises the fibres, which improves water-
repelling properties.
