Top Tension Assembly
See Janome QMP16SU Front Side View, item number 6.
Check #1
Check between the tension discs for any foreign material,
wear or damage that could prevent the discs from
functioning properly.
Adjust if necessary
Tool: 2 mm and 2.5 mm hex wrench
1. Check the relative location of the tension knob before
removing it.
2. Remove the knob, detent washer, tension discs, and
cone spring.
3. Clean and reassemble.
