The DF8000 system

The DF8000 is the I/O system of the DMS8000 family, providing input/output solu-
tions matching the specific requirements of safety and security applications.
DF8003 is the name of the CPU module that can supervise a unit also composed
by other specialised modules for input and output (DF8003 has replaced the previ-
ous CF9003 CPU module).
Centralised supervising systems, such as MM8000, can use the DF8000 units to
manage digital I/O signals of various types. This system offers an easy and time-
saving solution that enables the integration of a wide range of devices, and is par-
ticularly useful when you need to interface signals from technological equipment,
and from third-party control units. You can acquire digital inputs (dry contact, open
collector inputs, and balanced supervised signals), and provide control via digital
outputs (relays outputs).
The DF8000's modular design allows for easy installation in cabinets with DIN rails
without additional mounting devices.

DF8000 Modules and Units
The DF8000 is based on a modular design philosophy. Separate 4 or 8-point mod-
ules, with DIN rail-mountings, galvanically or optically isolated from the field can be
assembled in local units that provide both the capabilities and the functionality re-
quired to map from 4 to 48 I/O points (one or two 24-signal units addressed by the
CMX-DL protocol).
Any DF8000 unit is composed by an intelligent module (CPU module DF8003) and
by up to six Input (DF8040/45/46) or Output (DF8020) modules or a mix of the two
