Restriction of Hazardous Substances compliance.
Toshiba developed the world's first Notebook to fully
comply with the European Union's Restriction of
Hazardous Substances ruling. More importantly, all of
Toshiba's Notebooks became fully compliant well
ahead of the mandated deadline. The RoHS ruling
restricts the use of six hazardous substances. It will
become the default standard for electrical equipment
worldwide. Toshiba has also invested heavily in
finding and using alternatives for another eight
substances, comprehensively exceeding the standards
set by the legislation.
