Activating/deactivating Active Brake
Assist
Active Brake Assist is automatically activa-
ted when you start the engine.

Adaptive brake lamps
The adaptive brake lights warn following
traffic in an emergency situation:
If you brake the vehicle sharply from a
speed of more than 50 km/h the brake lamps
flash rapidly.
If the vehicle is sharply braked to a stand-
still at a speed of over 70 km/h, the hazard
warning lamps are also switched on auto-
matically. The hazard warning lamps
switch off automatically if you subse-
quently drive faster than 10 km/h.

Driving with ESP

is malfunctioning, ESP
to stabilise the vehicle. In addition, other
driving safety systems are switched off.
