Installing your extra handset Deciding where to put the charger • Place the charger near a mains outlet supplying 230V at 50Hz. • To reduce to a minimum any interference with other electronic devices such as telephones, televisions, screens, etc. we advise you to place your charger at least 50cm from any other electronic device.

Setting up Baby Sit (Xalio 6820 & 6850 only) The Baby Sit function allows you to monitor sounds in another room (e.g. the baby’s room). Because Baby Sit is a special type of internal call, it requires two handsets (of type Xalio 6820 or Xalio 6850): one left in the baby’s room and one you keep with you (the parent handset).

Changing the battery From time to time, you may need to replace the battery installed on your handset. You can obtain a new battery from your Philips dealer. Warning! Slide the battery cover down as shown in the diagram below.
Caring for your handset To clean your handset or charger, first unplug the mains cable. Wipe with a cloth or chamois moistened with slightly soapy water, then with a dry cloth. Note: Never spray your handset or charger with cleaning products or solvents.
