13.11.3 Fuel Suction Hose on
Carburetor
– Remove the carburetor, b 13.4

: Pull the fuel suction hose (1) off
the nipple (2).
: Pull the elbow connector (3) off
the fuel suction hose (1).
– Replace the fuel suction hose,
inspect the elbow connector and
replace if necessary.
Installing

– Use STIHL press fluid to make
installation easier, b 16
: Connect new fuel suction
hose (1) to angled nipple (arrow)
on elbow connector (2).

– Use STIHL press fluid to make

installation easier, b 16
: Fit fuel hose (1) with elbow
connector (2) on the nipple (3) so
that lug (arrow) faces to the rear
in the direction of the throttle
shutter.
– Install the carburetor, b 13.4
– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.

13.11.4 Tank Housing

– Drain the fuel tank, b 1.1
– Remove the carburetor, b 13.4
– Remove the handle molding and

lockout lever, b 11.2
– Remove the stop buffer at the
clutch side, b 10.1
– Remove the ignition module /
control unit, b 7.3
– Remove wiring harness at
ignition side and push it out
through the opening in the
crankcase in direction of cylinder,
b 7.9, M-Tronic / heating,
b 7.10

: Remove screw (1) from AV
element on handlebar.

: Remove screw (1) from AV
spring (2).

: Remove the washer (1) and
sleeve (2).
