Before using for the fi rst time
– Before the appliance is used for the
fi rst time, all detachable parts must be
thoroughly cleaned as described in the
section General Care and Cleaning.
Short-time operation
Th e appliance is designed to process average
domestic quantities of food; it can be operated
without interruption for a maximum of 1
minute, when it should be allowed to cool
down for approximately 5 minutes.

Th e blade unit and blender disc both screw
on and off . Before removing, ensure that the
drive pin on the shaft of the blender unit sits
properly in its recess; then use a suitable cloth
to grip the attachment, turning it clockwise to
unscrew and remove. (Caution: the blades
are extremely sharp.) In the same way, when
fi tting an attachment, use a cloth to grip and
turn it anti-clockwise to tighten.

Th e blade unit is suitable for processing
fruit and vegetables, and when preparing
baby food, purée or mashed food.
– Blender disc
Th e blender disc is suitable for any kind
of liquid - milk, yoghurt, mayonnaise,
cocktails etc.
Sieve and blender jug
Th e sieve can be inserted in the blender jug.
When processing fruit and vegetables, the
juice is collected in the jug while the pulp
remains in the sieve. Do not fi ll with hot
liquid.
Blender models with additional chopping
attachment
With the normal blending rod removed, the
drive unit can be attached to the chopping
attachment.
– Fit the cutting blade unit into the bowl
before fi lling the bowl with the food to
