Loading the Silverware Basket

The silverware basket is divided into separate compartments (illustrated below) to allow for maximum
cleaning efficiency. Spoons and forks should be placed in the basket with their handles pointing
downward. Knives and other sharp utensils should be placed in the basket with their handles pointed
upward. Longer utensils should be placed in the horizontal position on the upper basket's cup shelf
instead of in the silverware basket.
For best results, DO NOT overload the silverware basket and be sure that similar pieces of silverware
DO NOT nest together.
Caution: Do not let any item extend through the bottom of the cutlery basket. This may
prevent the spray arm from spinning.
Note:
 For personal safety and the highest quality wash, securely place all silverware in the
basket.
 Be sure the similar pieces of silverware do not nest together.
 Place most silverware with the handles down.
 Place knives and other potentially dangerous utensils handles-up.
