Normal setting
The system automatically cools or heats depending on
the outside tem perature and the selected interior tem per­
ature.
In the cooling mode, air is directed only to the adjustable
air outlets (6) and (8).
In the heating mode, warm air is primarily directed to the
foot area.
In the heating mode, air will be emitted intermittently from
the adjustable air outlets (6).
Enough air is supplied to the windshield and to the side
windows to keep the glass free of fog in normal weather
conditions.
At low outside temperature, fan operation does not start
until the engine coolant has warmed up.

EC (ECONOMY) = Economical setting
The function of this setting corresponds to the "Normal"
setting, however, because the air conditioning compres­
sor will not engage (fuel savings), it is not possible to air
condition in this setting.
