SYNC
key
This
key
is
used
to activate
synchronization with
an
external device.
Up
to
four
DR4vrs
can be
synchronized using
Akai
AL-X50
Remote
Cables.
An
optional IB-
IBM
MIDI
Interface
or
IB-n2T
SMPTE
reader/gernerator
is
required
for
MIDI
and
SMPTE
synchronized
operation.

VARI
key
This key switches
on
the varipitch function for
playback.
The
amount
of
varipitch
is
set
using
the
VARI
sub-menu
function.

TEMPO
key
This
key
is
used
when
creating a
tempo
map.
Tempo
maps
are
used
when
the
DR4vr
is
used
as
a
MIDI
Clock
master with

it
is

These
keys
are
used
to store

recall

values.

these
keys perform
various

key
This key
is
used
to
enter locate
time
values.

It

for
entering

setting

In
sub-menu mode,
this
key
is
used
to select
a
tempo map,
clear tracks
or
ping-pong parameter
settings,

adjust the overall

is
used
to
locate to the
last
two
points
at
which
the stop
key
was
pressed. Press the
key once
to
locate
to the
last
point
at
which
the
stop
key
was
pressed. Press
again
to locate to
the
last
but
one
point.

This

is
also
used
for
entering
time
and
parameter
values,
and
entering negative
values.

PREROLLkey
This
key
is
used
to
switch
on
the
preroU
function. Preroll
refers to
a
specified
number
of
seconds
before the
specified locate
point.
For example,
if
the
preroll
value
is
set
to
5,
the
DR4vr
will
locate
to
a point 5
seconds before
the specified locate time.
The
preroll
value
is
set
using
the
PREROLL
sub-menu
function.

STACK key
This key
is
used
to
enter

recall
the
100
stack locate
points.

ESCAPE key
This
key can be used
to
escape
from
the current
edit

escape
from
incorrectly
entered
time
values, to abort the
disk formatting
