• Wash only 1 or 2 rugs or bathmats at
one time depending upon size.
• Shake to remove loose dirt, dust and
nap.
• Wash 6 to 10 minutes, using Warm
Wash Water.
Plastics
• Wash plastic aprons, raincoasts, bibs,
tablecloths, placemats, chair covers, cur-
tains and bowl covers.
• Use short wash time. Wash
minutes with Warm Water.

FOR YOUR WASHER
How to keep your washer look-
ing good and in good operating
condition
1. Care of the washbasket. The wash-
basket is practically self-cleaning. After
each use, leave the lid open until all
moisture is gone. Do not scour with gritty
cleaners. Do not use harsh soaps or lye.
2. Care of exterior cabinet. Keep surface
free of washing compounds. Wipe fre-
quently with a damp cloth. Avoid hitting
surface with knives or other sharp tools.
3. While the top is of extremely durable
plastic, sharp tools could scratch the
surface or a burning cigarette could leave
a scorch mark. Do not set hot objects,
such as food containers removed from
range, on washer top.
What to do when you
want to store your washer
One of the advantages of your GE washer
is its "storability". After using, it may be
rolled away to a convenient out-of-the-
way spot.
However, if it's going to be stored and
not in use for a long period of time, then
all water should be removed from the
button trap. This will prevent damage
from freezing.
When you must move your washer a
long distance, contact your GE dealer and
have your washer recrated to protect the
suspension system and cabinet.
Button trap
A trap is mounted inside the washer to
catch buttons, hairpins, etc, to prevent
blockage of hoses or the pump.
Automatic self cleaning lint
An automatic self cleaning lint filter is
provided on this model and is located
under the wash basket.
Lint is trapped in the filter during the
wash period and is automatically ejected
into the drain water and flushed away on
completion of the cycle.
The filter is maintenance free, requires no
messy cleaning and the whole operation is
automatic.
SAFETY NOTE: Do not store near
stairs or on an unguarded landing,
as the portable washer glides around
easily and could slip off.
