Playable discs

Using this recorder, you can play and
record on the following discs:
Recording and Playback
DVD±RW
(DVD ReWritable);
can be recorded on
and overwritten repeatedly.
DVD±R
(DVD Recordable);
can be recorded on
only once.

TIPS: Some discs cannot be played on this recorder due to the confi guration and characteristics of the disc,
or due to the condition of recording and authoring software.

IMPORTANT!
– If the inhibit icon (
appears on the TV screen when a
key is pressed, it means the function
is not available on the current disc
or at the current time.
– DVD discs and players are
designed with regional restrictions.
Before playing a disc, make sure the
disc is for the same region as your
player.
– Do not push on the disc tray or
put any objects other than discs on
the disc tray. It may cause the disc
player to malfunction.

Starting disc playback

Press STANDBY-ON 2 to switch on
A
the recorder.
Press OPEN/CLOSE ç on the front of
B
ReWritable
the recorder.
The disc tray opens.
C
Place the disc onto the tray with the label
Recordable
facing up, then press OPEN/CLOSEç.
D
Switch on the TV. Select the correct
Video In channel at the TV (See the
chapter "Step 3: Installation and Setup –
Finding the viewing channel").
E
Press DVD to access the disc content
menu.
Playback starts automatically or press
PLAY
If the disc has its own menu, this will be
loaded. Otherwise, the recorder will
launch an index screen.
