General Information
5.1-channel recording
To enable 5.1-channel recording in tuner
mode or timer recording, the 5.1
recording setting must be turned on.
Note:
When 5.1 Recording is turned ON,
'Time Shift Buffer' will be disabled
in tuner mode.
In consequence of that, recording from
'Time Shift Buffer' is not possible. Pause
Live TV, Instant Replay and FlexTime
features will also not available.

The system setup menu appears.

the screen to select the media type to
record and press OK.
Press CHANNEL +/- repeatedly

until { EXT 2 } appears on the top left
corner.
This is the correct input source for
5.1-channel recording.

Turn on the connected device and
prepare for the recording.
Helpful Hints:
– 5.1-channel recording is only possible in
HQ and SP recording mode.
– 5.1-channel recording is only possible in
{ EXT 2 } input source, which is accessed
using the CAM button.
– 5.1-channel recording can be copied to a
recordable DVD and played back on this
recorder only. If played back the disc on
other DVD players, only stereo mode is
available.
