Connecting the Machine Using the Network Interface Board 450-E
(NIB 450-E)

Connect the machine using the Network Interface Board 450-E (NIB 450-E).
Follow these steps to connect the machine.
A
Make sure you have a correct cable.

Make sure the machine is turned off.
C
Plug the end of the network interface cable into the 10BaseT/100BaseTX
port at the back on the right side cover of the machine.
D
Plug the other end of the cable into the network.
Note
You should confirm that the cable is connected to the 10BaseT/100BaseTX
port.
In case of 100BaseTX environment, properly shielded and grounded cable
(STP) must be used for connection to host computer (and/or HUB) in or-
der to meet FCC and EMC Directive 89/336/EEC emission limits.
