Description
Mulch baffle assembly
Carriage bolt (5/16 x 3/4 inch)
Flange locknut (5/16 inch)
Flange-head bolt (1/4 x 1/2)
No parts required
Installing the Mulching Kit
WARNING
If you leave the wire on the spark plug, someone
could accidentally start the engine. Accidental
starting of the engine could seriously injure you or
other bystanders.
Disconnect the wire from the spark plug before you
do any maintenance. Set the wire aside so that it
does not accidentally contact the spark plug.
Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine
from the normal operating position.
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Make sure that all moving parts have stopped and the
machine has cooled.
3. Remove the spark-plug wire before starting these
instructions.
4. Remove the grass bag or side discharge chute from the
machine, whichever your machine is currently equipped
with, along with its hardware.
5. Tip the unit onto its right side.
6. Clean out any grass buildup from underside of deck.
7. Remove and retain the flow control baffle from the
front of the deck (Figure 1) and hardware.
