Selecting ´5´ closes the setting mode.
After the termination of the setting mode the string:
(2100)BYE(2100)<CR (Carrige Return)>(2100)
REMOTE>
is send from the Active Mini-Starcoupler to the terminal program.
Note:(2100)is the minimum duration time between the characters in
milliseconds.
Attention! Potentially cascaded other Active Mini-Starcoupler, which
are in an Inactive Transmision Mode, hear the "BYE" and change to the
operation mode. It´s recommended to set each Active Mini-Starcoupler
stand alone.
After the termination of the setting procedure DIP switch 2.1 must be set
to the OFF position.
6.3.3

Changing the parameters of a port (interface)

In this example a fibre optic interface (T2/R2) shall be changed from a
Slave- into a Master-interface. Port 1,6 and port 7 are already set as
Master-interfaces (port number 0) in reference to table 6.
We start the setting procedue from table 6. To change interface 2, which
is a fibre optic interface (ref. to Table 6) select ´2´. The following
dialogue appears in the terminal window:

If the interface shall be set as a Slave-interface a port number from 1-
128 must entered, which is not set already for another Slave-interface.
Here in this example the port is set as Master-interface. The number
selected for Master-interfaces is always the ´0´. Entry of ´0´leads to the
following warning:
Attention: Changes Affect All Interfaces Configured
As Master.
Continue?(Y/N)
Confirming with ´ Y´ or setting an interface as a Slave-port with the entry
of a number between 1 – 128, lead to the following setting dialogue:
