CHIMNEY INSTALLATION

• Install the chimney as required in the chimney manufacturer's instructions.
• Use the anchor plate specific to the chimney model used and fix on top of the unit with 4
metal screws.
• When a 7" chimney is installed on the "0" clearance Vision XL it is necessary to use the
stainless steel chimney adaptor plate supplied with the unit.
This part is used to center the chimney anchor plate on the fireplace.
• Set the adaptor plate on the fireplace as shown on drawing (see drawing) and then fix the
anchor plate.

• Use radiation shields in joist and rafter areas and fire stops appropriate when going through
combustible walls and ceilings.
• Use a ventilated roof flashing.
• The minimum height of the chimney and fireplace assembly must be at least 15' (4,5 meter),
and the maximum height 35' (10,7 meter) for 8" chimney. There is no maximum height for 7"
chimney.
• The chimney must extend at least 3' (914 mm) over the roof and 2' (610 mm) over any
construction or part of the building in a radius of 10 feet (3 m).
• Use a roof braces when chimney extend more than 5' (1,5 meter) over the roof.
• When proceeding with offset installation, make sure that elbows are anchored using lateral
supports.
