Synchronized recording with CD playback
You can make the CD player to start playback when the cassette deck enters the recording mode.
1 Load a cassette.
Use only a type-I normal tape.
2 Load a CD.
3 Press CD 3/8 to enter CD mode.
4 Press STOP 7 to stop the CD playback.
5 To start recording from the desired track, select
the track by pressing 4 or ¢ in stop mode.
You can use the number buttons on the remote control
unit to select the track.
6 Press REC ¶.
PLAY 3 is also depressed, and synchronized
recording starts.
Erasing
When recording on a pre-recorded tape, the previous
recording is erased and only the new recording is heard
next time the tape is played back.

• When the tape reaches the end, the CD playback enters
in pause.
To continue recording:
turn over the tape and press REC ÷.
To continue the CD playback:
press CD 3/8.
To stop the CD playback:
press STOP 7.
• When the CD playback stops, the tape continues
running.
To stop the tape:
press STOP/EJECT §.
To erase a tape without making a new
recording
1 Press TAPE on the unit to enter the tape mode.
2 Press REC ¶.
