Connecting to JVC AV Compu Link

JV C 's A V C om pu Link E X feature m akes playing video tapes or D V D s totally autom atic. S im ply
insert a pre-recorded tape* into your AV C om pu Link E X com patible JV C -brand V C R or D V D into
your JV C D V D player and the device will autom atically turn on and begin playback. At the sam e
tim e, using the AV C om pu Link, the V C R or D V D playersends a signal to the television telling it
to turn on and switch to the proper video input.
• T he AV C om pu Link cable m ay be included with the JV C AV C om pu Link accessory you wish to
connect. If it is not, contact an authorized JV C S ervice C enter for part # E W P 805-012.
• AV C om pu Link can only be used with JV C -brand products.
To Connect: P lug one end of the AV C ompu Link cable into the AV C ompu Link E X input on your V C R ,
D V D , or other C ompu Link device. P lug the other end of the AV C ompu Link E X cable into the AV
C ompu Link input at the rear of the television.
NOTES:
* In order for the VCR play b a ck to begin automatically, the recording tab must be removed from the
V H St a p e. If the tab is in place, automatic switching will occur when you push the V C R 's P
• The AV Compu Link cable has a male 3.5 mm (mono) plug on each end.
• If your JVC-brand V C R has " A Code/B Code Remote Control Switching" (see your V C R 's user's guide),
using V C R A Code will switch the T V to input 1.

• AV C O M P U LINK EX is compatible with the fo l l owing receive r s :R X - 6 6 4 V, RX-665V, RX-668VBK,
R X - 7 7 4 V, RX-778VBK, RX-884V, RX-888VBK, RX-1024V, RX-1028VBK, and later receiver models.
