Please read this guide before attempting to configure the VSP726A. Some of the configuration tasks described in this chapter are duplicated in the Web User Interface (WebUI) described in the next chapter, but if you need to assign static IP addresses, they must be set at each device.

VSP726A Administrator and Provisioning Manual Network Requirements A simple VSP726A SIP deskset installation example is shown in Figure 1. A switched network topology is recommended for your LAN. The office LAN infrastructure should use Cat.-5/Cat.-5e cable. The VSP726A requires a wired connection to the LAN. However, wireless connections from your LAN to other devices (such as laptops) in your office will not impede performance.

You can also reprogram certain hard keys on the deskset. The VSP726A has 12 dual-function feature keys. You can assign up to 24 functions to the keys listed on the Feature Keys page.
