IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: 1. Read all instructions. 2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put can opener, cord, or plug in water or other liquid. 3 . - Page 3 TO USE THE CAN OPENER 1. Plug electrical cord into 120 volt, 60 cycle AC outlet. 2. Place can against front of drive wheel with top edge of can touching guide pin. (See diagram A) 3 . Push handle down and hold until the can lid is automatically pierced and the cutting action begins.

To insure proper sanitation, the Pop & CleanTM module should be detached and cleaned thoroughly in the dishwasher or in warm, sudsy water at regular intervals. The motor housing wipes easily using a damp cloth. NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR HOUSING IN WATER.
