LED REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
Removal
1. Turn off the IPO switch.

Remove the diskette drive cover assembly (112).
Disconnect the diskette drive control cable from
position A2

Remove the two screws

and the connector
covers.
Remove the two diskette 1 LED leads

and the
two diskette 2 LED leads
III
by pushing down on
the tabs

with a small screwdriver
II.
Remove the LED cable from the three retainers
II.
Remove the four guide mounting screws
II
and
the guide.
8. Remove the two LED mounting screws

and the
nuts
II.
Then remove the LED assembly

Replacement

Install the LED assembly
B
the two mounting
screws
II
and the nuts
II
onto the guide. (Do
not tighten.)
Replace the guide and the four mounting screws
II·
Follow the cable path through three retainers
II
and insert the two diskette 1 leads (the wrapped
pair of leads)
II
and the two diskette 2 leads
III
into the diskette drive control cable connector.
Ensure that the locking tabs
II
on the terminals
lock in the connector slots.
Replace the cable connector covers and the two
screws
IE.
Plug the cable into position A2
II
on the diskette
drive control card socket.
Perform the LED and PTX alignment (161); start
with step 3.
