Carry the outboard motor with more
than two people. To carry, hold the
outboard motor by the carrying
handle, or hold by the carrying handle
and the engine under cover as shown
here. Do not carry by the engine
cover.
Close the internal fuel tank vent by
turning the vent knob clockwise all
the way or drain the gasoline. If you
will be transporting the outboard
motor.

cover can be unlatched and
outboard motor can drop, resulting
