Place the motorcycle

the main
stand

Move the chain
up
and
down
at th
e
mi dpoint
between the
sprockets and
measure
tota
l
movement.
St andard
slack shou

0.4-0.8 in. (10-20mm)

rear
axle nut

Readjust

e rear

as necessary
to correct

the repositioning

the
rear
wheel
assembly.

7. Remove
the
main sta
nd
and
check
slack
whi le sitting on
th
e
machine.
Roll
either
forward
or
backward
enough
to
ascertain
there
are no tight spots.
