Switching On the Printer

Beforeswitchingontheprinter,makethenecessaryconnections,
andcheckthattheprintheadisengaged.
SwitchonthepowerusingtheOn/Offswitchontherearplate.
The"Power"LEDonthefrontpanellightsupwhenthepoweris
on.Waitforafewmomentswhiletheprinterloadstheprogram
andrunssomeself-diagnostictests.TheDisplayWindowwill
showthefollowingprogressindicator.
Starting
Afterashorttime,theprinterisinitialized.Theprogressofthe
initializationisindicatedbyanincreasingnumberofcolonson
thelowerlineinthedisplay.
Initializing

Whentheinitializationiscompleted,alabelisfedout.The
followingmessage,whichistheIPLversionnumber,appearsin
theDisplayWindow,indicatingthattheprinterisreadyfor
operation.
