Error and warning codes
Error codes
When an error is detected during Auto
Calibration, an error code will appear on the
display cyclically after each measurement
process as follows:

Appears when there are more than one error code.
To rectify the error

Record down the error code.

Press the control button.

Press ?/1 to turn off the receiver.

Rectify the error.

below.

Turn on the receiver and perform Auto
Calibration again (page 36).
Error code and remedies
Error Explanation
code
ERROR The environment
CODE 10 is too noisy.
ERROR The speakers are
CODE 11 placed too near to
the optimizer
microphone.
ERROR Front speakers
CODE 20 are not detected
or only one front
speaker is
detected.
ERROR Only one
CODE 21 surround speaker
is detected.
Remedies
Make sure the
environment is
quiet during Auto
Calibration.
Place your speakers
further away from
the optimizer
microphone.
Check the front
speaker
connection.
Check the surround
speaker
connection.

CODE 22 surround back
speaker is
detected.
ERROR Surround back
CODE 23 speaker is
detected but
surround
speakers are not
connected.
Warning codes
During Auto Calibration, the warning code
provides information on the measurement
result. The warning code will appear on the
display cyclically as follows:

Appears when there are more than one warning
code.
You can choose to ignore the warning code as
the Auto Calibration function will
automatically adjust the settings. You can also
change the settings manually.
To change the settings
manually

Record down the warning code.

Press the control button.

Press ?/1 to turn off the receiver.

Follow the solution provided in the
"Warning code and solution" below.

Turn on the receiver and perform Auto
Calibration again (page 36).
Remedies
Check the surround
back speaker
connection. If you
connect only one
surround back
speaker, connect it
to the SPEAKERS
SURROUND
BACK L terminal.
Be sure to connect
the surround
speakers.
