D-Link DSL-2877AL Modem Router User Manual
To access the Filtering Options page, click on the Advanced menu link at the top, and then click on the Filtering Options menu link on the left.
On this page the user can configure services related to the Filtering Options feature
of this product.
This page provides two useful tools for restricting the Internet access. Websites
Filter allows you to quickly create a list of all websites that you wish to stop users
from accessing. MAC Filter allows you to control when clients or PCs connected to
the device are allowed to access the Internet.
Services available for configuration are the following:
IPv4 Filtering
IPv6 Filtering
IPv4 Filtering
In this page, you may configure IPv4 firewall function.
Step1 Select Enable IP Filter.
Step2 Set the Security Level.
Low: the filter mode will be set to Black at both directions.
Middle: the filter mode will be set to White at WAN→LAN direction, Black at LAN
→WAN direction.
High: the filter mode will be set to White at both directions.
Step3 Choose the filter model and click Add a rule. There are two Filter Models:
WAN→LAN and LAN→WAN.
WAN→LAN: The data transmission direction is from WAN to LAN.
LAN→WAN: The data transmission direction is from LAN to WAN.
