8.3 Modifying the Advanced Properties of a Remote Link

This operation enables you to modify the bandwidth and bandwidth utilization of a link.
Prerequisites

Context
The remote link can be a Fibre Channel link or an iSCSI link.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to DeviceManager.
Step 2 Choose
Issue 06 (2018-01-30)

The Success message box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
Click OK.
The system has a normal remote link.
Only when the link connects to a remote device whose type is Replication, you can
modify advanced properties of a link.

Description
The data compression algorithms of local
and remote devices.
NOTE
Once the parameter is configured, the local
device compares the configured compression
algorithm with that of the remote device. If
the remote device supports the algorithm,
then the match is successful. The
Compression Status displays as Valid and
the data compression is available for
replication link. If the remote device does not
support the algorithm, then the match is not
successful. The Compression Status
displays as Invalid and the data compression
is not available for replication link.
