6.3 Synchronizing a Remote Replication Pair

In the scenario where a remote replication pair has completed the initial synchronization and
then a host writes data to the primary resource or splits the remote replication pair, there will
be data inconsistency between the primary resource and the secondary resource. In this case,
you can synchronize the remote replication pair to ensure data consistency.

Procedure
Step 1 Log in to DeviceManager.
Step 2 Choose
Step 3 Right-click the remote replication you want to synchronize and choose Synchronize.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
Step 4 Confirm the remote replication synchronization.

The remote replication pair for which you want to perform data synchronization is not
added to a consistency group.
The secondary resource protection status is read-only.
The Pair Running Status of the remote replication pair determines whether data
synchronization can be performed for the remote replication pair, as shown in
Table 6-4 Status requirements for synchronizing a remote replication pair
