6.6 Switching Local LUN Owning Controllers

This operation is used to complete switchover of local LUN owning controllers to ensure that
primary and secondary LUNs belong to the same controller, preventing I/O forwarding.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to DeviceManager.
Step 2 Choose
Step 3 Choose More > Switch Local LUN Owning Controller.
The Switch Local LUN Owning Controller dialog box is displayed.
Step 4 In the left panel, select a remote device, and select a LUN whose owning controller needs to
be switched and click
If the operation is performed at the primary site, the owning controller of primary LUNs will be switched. If
the operation is performed at the secondary site, the owning controller of secondary LUNs will be switched.
Step 5 Click OK.
If the Execution Result dialog box is displayed, the operation succeeds.
Step 6 Click Close.

6.7 Synchronizing Remote Status

You can synchronize data from a remote storage system to a local storage system. The data
includes status and name of the secondary resource, name of the remote storage system, and
so on.

Procedure
Step 1 Log in to DeviceManager.

Confirm the information in the dialog box. Select I have read and understood the
consequences associated with performing this operation. and click OK.
The Success dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
Click OK.

The connection between the local storage system and remote storage system is normal.
A remote replication pair is created.
