DISPLAY SCREEN
Line
The display screen (Figure 2) can display 16 lines of data at a time, with up to 64
characters in each line. Input data (information supplied by the user) as well as out-
put data (processed information) is displayed. The bottom line contains status
information. The number in the lower right corner (NNNNN) indicates the number of
character positions (bytes) in storage available to the user. Line 1 (input line) contains
information entered from the keyboard; The cursor (flashing horizontal line) indicates
where the next input from the keyboara will be displayed. If the cursor is moved
to a position that already contains a character, that character flashes. As BASIC
processes the input, all lines of the display (except the bottom line) are moved up so
information can be entered on line 1 again.
