Sound
There is no sound.
, Re-connect all connections securely.
, The connecting cord is damaged.
, The input source setting on the audio component
or the connection to the audio component is
incorrect.
, The recorder is in reverse play, fast forward,
slow motion, or pause mode.
, If the audio signal does not come through the
DIGITAL OUT (COAXIAL)/HDMI OUT jacks,
check the [Audio] setup settings (page 65).
Sound is noisy.
, When playing a CD with DTS sound tracks,
noise will come from LINE OUT (AUDIO L/R)/
AUDIO OUT L/R jacks (page 46).
Recorded or played back audio is not stereo.
, The TV is not stereo-compatible.
, The input source is not in stereo format.
, The AV output jacks on the recorder are not
connected to TV AV input jacks.
The sound volume is low.
, The sound volume is low on some DVDs.

, Moisture has condensed inside the recorder. In
this case, if the recorder is on, leave it on (if it is
off, leave it off) for about an hour until the
moisture evaporates.
, If the disc was recorded on another recorder and
was not finalized (page 33), the recorder cannot
play the disc.
, Cancel the rating function or change the rating
level (page 66).
The recorder does not start playback from the
beginning.

, You have inserted a disc whose Title menu or
