time is set. The time can be set by pressing the Up or
Down buttons. Note that if you press and hold the Up
or Down buttons, the Minutes change continuously
(and then the hours and then AM/PM) and the rate
of change gradually increases. Once the time is set,
press the Next/Save button to set the day - use the Up
or Down buttons to adjust day. Press the Next/Save
button once to finish and exit first time setting.
No additional changes to any settings are allowed
unless the On/Off button is set to On mode.
D. Quick Start
The thermostat is pre-programmed for immediate
operation in the 5/2 mode. Press the On/Off
button to On position; the thermostat will control
the floor temperature to a moderate temperature
(86°F/30°C) such that the cables are only energized
in the morning and the evening, and off during the
day and the night. The exact schedule of operation
is as follows:

For manual operation, press the Up or Down button
once and adjust setpoint temperature to desired
setting, Press the Hold button once – this temporarily
adjusts the setpoint temperature to the desired
setting – the setpoint temperature will revert to
Automatic Program at the beginning of the next
Event as noted above. By immediately pressing the
Hold button a second time, this permanently sets
the setpoint temperature at the desired setting.
E. Settings
The Settings menu will allow you to change the Time/
Day, Units (F or C), Program, Backlight Time and Floor
Type. By pressing the Settings button, you enter the
Setting menus. You can scroll through the various
menus by pressing the Next/Save button ("Advance
to Next Menu"). Once in a menu, you can change
the "flashing" parameters by using the Up or Down
buttons. Pressing the Next/Save button accepts the
changes and scrolls to next menu.
To exit Settings menus without saving changes at any
time ("exit Without Saving"), press and hold Back/
Cancel button for two seconds.
To save changes and exit Settings menus, press and
hold Next/Save button for two seconds ("Save and
exit").
If no key is pressed for 90 seconds the program will exit
the Settings menus, save all changes that have been
accepted and return to normal display.
