6) If LPG fuel leak has been detected, relieve LPG pressure and then replace the faulty parts or retighten LPG fuel
pipe nuts. Recheck LPG fuel leakage after replacing the faulty parts or retightening LPG fuel pipe nuts.
When Using Gas Leak Detection Liquid
1) Apply gas leak detection liquid (1) to inspection
points and wait for 10 minutes.
2) Visually inspect inspection points applied gas leak
detection liquid. The gas leak detection liquid will
bubble (1) if there is LPG fuel leak.
3) Wipe off the gas leak detection liquid.
When Using Gas Detector
1) Check the inspection points for LPG fuel leakage
using gas detector.
NOTE
• Use gas detector capable of detecting
methane gas concentrations of less than
0.2%.
• Use duct to suck away any vehicle exhaust
gas, as gas detectors will react to it.
• Let gas detectors absorb gas for at least 10
seconds in each location.
Because of way they are constructed,
there is small time lag before gas detectors
react to gas.

Fuel Line On-Vehicle Inspection

LPG System
Inspect LPG fuel feed lines for LPG fuel leakage.
Visually inspect LPG fuel feed lines for LPG fuel hose
crack, deterioration and damage.
Make sure all clamps are secure.
Replace parts as needed.

Fuel Filter Removal and Installation

LPG System
Removal
1) Relieve LPG pressure in LPG fuel feed line.
2) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
3) Disconnect LPG fuel hoses (1) from LPG fuel filter
assembly (2).
4) Remove LPG fuel filter assembly from LPG fuel filter
bracket (3).

5) Remove LPG fuel filter lower case (2) from LPG fuel
filter upper case (1), and then remove LPG fuel filter
(3) from LPG fuel filter lower case.
