Engine Hard to Start Or Will Not Start - Smoke From Exhaust
Cause Correction
Incorrect Starting Procedure
The Manual Fuel Shut Off Control Must
Be in the Run Position.

Cranking Speed Ton Slow Verify that the Transmission is not
Engaged.

Check the Battery, Starting Motor, and
Look for Loose or Corroded Wiring
Connections.
Bar the Engine to Check for Internal
Rotational Resistance.
Cold Starting Aids Not Working or Are
Needed
Verify the Aids are Operating.
