6. Firmware Update Operating Instructions These instructions explain how to update the firmware of the machine. If the update fails, try it again using the batch file. Before you start the update, make sure of the following: • The machine is in standby mode. •... - Page 6 1. Double-click [Product Name_FWUpdateManager.bat] to start the update. The Wireless LAN Firmware Update Wizard starts. If you select [Ethernet] for [LAN Type] on the control panel, go to step 7. Product Name represents the machine name. 2. Check the displayed details, and then click [Next >]. 3.
- Page 7 5. Updating starts. Do not switch the machine off while updating. 6. Click [Finish] when the screen shown below appears. The Master Controller Firmware Update Wizard starts. 7. Click [Next >].
- Page 8 8. Check that the version for [Update Data] is newer than the version for [Mas- ter Controller], and then click [Next >]. 9. Click [OK]. Do not switch the machine off while updating. 10. Updating starts.
