    Getting Started Step 1: Checking supplied items Make sure that you have following items supplied with your camcorder. The number in the parentheses indicates the number of that item supplied. • Memory cards are not included. See pages 5 and 95 for types of memory cards that you can use on your camcorder.

    • The power will not be supplied from the battery as long as the AC Adaptor is connected to the DC IN jack of your camcorder, even when the power cord (mains lead) is disconnected from the wall outlet (wall socket).

    “Content Management Utility” Install “Content Management Utility” before connecting your camcorder to a computer. 1 Confirm that your camcorder is not connected to the computer. 2 Turn on the computer. • Log on as an Administrator for installation. • Close all applications running on the computer before installing the software.
  • Page 78 7 Select the drive or folder to install the application, then click [Next]. 8 Select the option to create the desk-top shortcut, then click [Next]. 9 Turn on your camcorder, then connect the camcorder to the computer using the supplied USB cable.     2 Disconnect the power source, reconnect the power source after about 1 minute and turn on your camcorder. 3 Press the RESET button (p. 108) with a pointed object, then turn on your camcorder. This operation will reset the date, time and area settings.

Because of the way that the image device (CMOS sensor) reads out image signals, the subjects passing by the frame rapidly might appear crooked depending on the recording conditions.
