STEP 1. Make sure the chain brake is re-

The crankshaft nut forms the slot for the
E-ring, and should never be removed
unless damaged. If the crankshaft nut
must be removed, use hand tools only
and remove the nut in a clockwise
direction (Figure 6.11).

rim sprocket is to be replaced, it can be
lifted from the clutch drum at this time.
