Removing Engine
1.
Remove
battery box.
disconnect
leads
from
the
wire
harness
and
toke out
battery.
(Fig.
3-4)
2.
Pull high
tension
cord
terminal from spark
plug,
remove terminal from high tension
cord
and
take
cord
out of holding
cl
ip.
3.
Remove
crankcase
cover and
breo'<
chain at master
link.
Drive
sprocket
cover
can
be
removed at
the
sometime.
CAUTION
It 1s
adv isable
to
connect
the ends
of the cl:ain
with
a piece of
wire to keep the
chain from
being
wound
up rnside
the
chain
case.
4.
Loosen c!utch wire
and
remove
it
from clutch
lever
.
5.
Remove inlet
p
1
pe
from
cylinder
heod.
CAUTION
When remov ing
from engine,
be careful
not to
damage the
inlet
pipe 0-ring.
6.
Detach exhaust
pipe
from
cylinder
head.
7.
Remove broke pedal sprmg
from
engine rear mounting bolt,
toke
off
8
mm nut and pull
out rear mounting bolt and engine rear support
bolt.
The
engine
con
be
removed
from
frame
.

Installing Engine
The engine can be
mounted
by reversing the steps for Removing Engine.
CAUTION
When ioining the ends
of
the
drive
chain,
be sure
the master
link
open
end is in
a
trailing
position,
i.
e.,
toward
the
rear
when the
chain
is mov1ng.
