later on - and also hand them over when pas-
sing on the device to third parties!
1. Device description
1.1 Operating part

2. Usage
This device is exclusively intended for use in
shoes.
The device is suitable for all types of shoes,
especially shoes subjected to intensive
usage.
3. Technical data
DC adapter input: .. 9 V/200 mA

Negative ions: ........ 1000 x 103 / cm3

4. Operation

The ion generator inside the device generates
negatively charged ions which neutralise
unpleasant smells.

Important safety
instructions
To avoid danger through electric
shock:
• Keep the device away from water and moi-
sture.
• Never immerse the device in water or other
liquids.
• Do not insert metallic or other objects in the
device.
• Never open the device housing.
To avoid fire and injury hazards:
• Keep the device away from flammable and
explosive objects.
• Avoid heat and exposing the device to
direct sun radiation.
5. Start-up
Before starting the device, satisfy yourself
that the device, power cord and power plug
are in perfect condition and all packaging
materials have been removed from the devi-
ce.
6. Mains adapter operation
The device is operated with mains power as
follows...
• initially press the "ON/OFF" button until the
button is up.
• insert the adapter in the opening at the bot-
tom of the operating part provided for this
purpose.
• insert the plug in the socket and switch on
the device by pressing the "ON/OFF" but-
ton. The green LED display lights up when
the device is in operation.
7. Operation
Insert one shoe insert
in each shoe.
Ensure that the ventilation slits
are clear
and not blocked.
On shoes with leg such as ankle boots, sim-
ply turn the lower part of the shoe inserts
clockwise or anti-clockwise by 180° (see fig.
a. + b.).

Select from the stages "CONT." (continuous)
and "CYCLE" (cyclic) by positioning the step
switch
as required.
The device is in continuous mode when the
switch is in the "CONT." position. If the
switch is in the "CYCLE" position, the device
will switch itself on for 15 minutes every hour.
The green LED display will light up within this
period. Then the red LED display will light up
for 45 minutes to show the "Standby mode".
Switch the device off by...
• pressing the "ON/OFF" button until the
button is at the top.
• pulling the mains plug.
Caution:
Always pull the mains plug after use.

8. Cleaning and care
Clean the device by wiping it with a soft, dry
cloth. Never use cleaning agents or solvents,
these could damage the housing.
9. Storage
Store the device in a dry, dust-free place.
10. Warranty, Repair &
Customer Service
This appliance has a 3-years warranty from
the date of purchase as per our standard
business conditions and proper use and
maintenance.
To prolong the lifespan of your ioniser, follow
the directions given under "Cleaning &
Maintenance".
In case your ioniser fails to function as
expected, it must be given for repairs to a
service centre authorised by the manufacturer
or a qualified technician. For this purpose,
please contact our customer service. The
address is given in the enclosed warranty
card.
11. Disposal
This device does not contain any materials
subject to any type of special disposal regu-
lations at the time the instructions are compi-
led (October 2003). Ask your community aut-
hority if the legal situation should have chan-
ged in the meantime.
