3. Power on the Press Tool as specified in
operator's manual.
Installing a MegaPress Press-
In Branch Connector Fitting
1. Confirm that the tool and fitting have
been properly set-up.

2. Keep hands away from the attachment
and fitting. Be aware that when the tool is
cycled, it will move back approximately
one inch (25 mm). This could cause
crushing injuries. With the fitting fully in-
serted, follow the press tool instructions
and depress the tool switch. As the tool
cycles, it will pull the draw bolt through
the fitting while pressing it to the pipe.
Continue to securely support the press
tool to prevent shifting of the fitting or
dropping of the tool during the pressing
cycle. Once a press cycle begins, the tool
will lock-on and automatically complete
the press cycle. If the draw bolt does not
pull completely through the fitting, repeat
the step. See Figure 14.

with the MegaPress Press-In Branch Connec-
tor Installation Kit.
Maintenance
Maintain the MegaPress Press-In Branch
Connector Installation Kit according to
these procedures to prolong the product's
life and to reduce the risk of injury.
3. With the connection complete, remove
the press tool/expander and then the fit-
ting positioning guide from the pipe, and
inspect the connection.
4. Follow all fitting manufacturer recommen-
dations regarding connection to the in-
stalled fitting.
1. Inspect the pressed fitting.
2. Look for the following:
• Fitting that is not fully inserted into the
pipe – Double check the milled marks
made on the fitting to see that they are
still aligned with the pipe marking.
• Any other issues per the fitting manu-
facturer.
If any of these problems are found, then
removal of the fitting is required and a
new fitting and tube will need to be pre-
pared and pressed in its place.
3. Test the system in accordance with the
fitting manufacturer's instructions, nor-
mal practice and local codes.
The system must be tested for leaks
and should be flushed prior to use to re-
move any residue.
The fitting manufacturer may have spe-
cific system test procedures to confirm
the integrity of the system.
Store the tool in the carrying
