can be crushed, fractured or amputated if
they are caught between the tool, attach-
ment, components and any other object.
• Large forces are generated during
press tool use that can break or throw
parts and cause injury. Stand clear dur-
ing use and wear appropriate protective
equipment, including eye protection.
• Never repair a damaged press attach-
ment. An attachment that has been
welded, ground, drilled or modified in any
manner can break during use. Discard
damaged attachments to reduce the risk
of injury.

– The Drill manufacturer's operating in-

– The Press Tool operating instructions.

quipment or material used with this kit.
Failure to follow all instructions and warn-
ings may result in property damage and/or
serious injury.

Description

The RIDGID MegaPress
Connector Installation Kit is used to prepare
pipe for and install Viega MegaPress Press-
In Branch Connector Fittings.
The kit includes a drill guide that mounts to
the pipe to allow a hole to be squarely cut
along the centerline of pipe. A mating guided
arbor shaft assembly is used with a hole saw
and user supplied drill to cut the hole. The drill
guide is provided with a port to allow a user
supplied vacuum to be attached during use
to minimize chips entering the pipe system.
Fitting positioning guides are supplied to hold
the fitting in position while the expander is
used with a user supplied RIDGID Standard
Press Tool to permanently press the Viega
MegaPress Press-In Branch Connector fit-
tings into the prepared hole.
